Pain Relaxation for Children Hypnosis Script

One of the most effective uses of hypnosis is for the relief of pain. It can be difficult though, to help children control their pain and manage to get through it without becoming overwhelmed. While the pain may not disappear completely through hypnosis, it can be eased, and the body and mind can be conditioned to deal with the pain in a more relaxed manner.

Because children have a shorter attention span than most adults, it is important for this script to be shorter and more to the point. If the child grows bored, even while under hypnosis, they will lost interest and the affect of the treatment will be lessened. In order for the script to work to it's full capacity, it must be easy for the child to understand.

It may be helpful for the child to understand how their pain occurs. This is an explanation that can be simplified in order to better explain the process to a child. Pain may be experienced in a variety of sensations. It is the same for children. Their spinal cord behaves like a relay center that can block the pain signal, increase it, or modify prior to relaying to the brain. The area of the spinal cord called the dorsal horn is important in the reception of pain signals.

The neurotransmitters function doors or gates and allow the pain messages to pass through and on to the cells. One of the chemicals associated with pain that has been studied is called glutamate. During experiments, the glutamate receptors in mice were blocked, and it was proven that their pain was lessened. Morphine and other opioid drugs work by locking on to these receptors, switching on pain-inhibiting pathways or circuits, and thereby blocking pain.

It is not too strong a leap of faith to see where hypnosis could have this same effect. If a medication has the ability to interfere with the message of pain to the brain, then surely the human mind can interfere with that message as well. Through this hypnosis script, your child can learn to control the pain message in the same manner that a drug would interfere with the pain message.

The anasthesia that aids in pain relief can be manufactured naturally, through the subconscious connection with the pain that this script will enable your child to perform.
