Children who have been diagnosed as having Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder can be very difficult for parents and other family members to cope with - often causing stress and family friction.
According to the Center of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), studies show promising results when treating ADHD with neuro-feedback (which measures brain activity in response to certain treatments). This has been shown to improve ADHD in relation to academic achievement, personal relationships, and increased cognitive functioning.
However, treating ADHD with neuro-feedback can take anywhere from 20-80 sessions to see results. Their study showed that using neuro-feedback with hypnosis can greatly accelerate the rate of improvement in an individual with ADHD.
