Eye Focus
Ask your subject to focus the eyes on a point of the ceiling or
high up on the wall and to keep the eyes focused on that point. This
method can produce hypnosis in seconds.
Keep your eyes focused on that point on
the wall or the ceiling whilst you listen to the sound of my voice. And
keep your eyes focused there and soon you'll notice your eyes begin to blink
more and more.
But I don't want you to close
your eyes. Just keep them fixed on that point whilst you listen to the
sound of my voice. And whilst you're aware of my voice, you can notice how
those eyes are beginning to feel heavy, heavy and tired, heavier and heavier.
They may begin to feel a little strained - you may notice that things begin to
go out of focus and blur a little. You may even notice your eyes begin to
water, but that's alright - because your eyes are becoming heavier and heavier,
more tired - so tired and so heavy that they just want to close - and they're
blinking more and more (time this with the actual blinking of the eyes) -
becoming so heavy now that its just too much effort to keep them open - but for
now I want you to just try to keep them opened
- just try. And you find that the harder you try to keep those eyes open
the heavier and the more relaxed those eyes become. So heavy - so
comfortable and so relaxed.
And when you find that it would be so nice to just allow those
eyes to close - all by themselves - you can stop trying to keep the eyes open
and relax those tiny muscles around the eyes - relax those tiny muscles and let
go. Let go. Relax.
And as you close those eyes now, notice how much more
comfortable it is with the eyes closed. And are you aware that your hand
is feeling so light and floaty that it's just beginning to float all the way up
to the face.
And when it touches the face, you can let go completely, just
relax - and drift deeper and deeper and deeper relaxed.
