Hypnosis with headphones

Does anyone use headphones when hypnotising, if so can you recommend a system to use? Thanks, Anna

Hi Anna, I use headphones when using hypnotherapy with my clients. There are a number of reasons, the main one being that my office is in my home which is on a main road so I wanted to minimise the amount of noise that the client was aware of. I also found that using the headphones with relaxing music and my voice playing through them helped the client feel they were in their own little bubble where they could really let go and relax rather than be really aware that they were sat in a chair in a room opposite me. Ive had nothing but good response to this approach and would definitely recommend it. I use a set of headphones with a radio mic attached to it (like this one http://cpc.farnell.com/trust/16904/headset-pulsar-stereo-trust/dp/CS19791) plugged into my computer and connected to another set of headphones the client uses. It just takes a bit of fiddling around and trial and error to get the wires connected in the right places for it to work properly! Good luck
