Binge eating

I have a 30 year old client who has been binge eating for 16 years , she purges by running 10 km a day. Her parents were very controlling and protective and she wasn't allowed any freedom. She became anorexic at 13 , then binge eating since then. She says she guages her weight by her face. She eats mostly sweet things for 3 hours in evening. Any ideas where to begin ?

Hi Katy There is a script for Binge Eating on Hypnotic World, however it seems that her repressed feelings towards her parents may be at the root of this so perhaps this could be a good starting point. If you log into Hypnotic World and click on the Solutions Corner link (2nd to the bottom on the left hand side) and then on Abused Child Survivor there is a new response which might help you with some ideas. I understand that your client wasnt suffering from abuse as such but you could modify the steps outlined to suit her situation.
