A female in her twenties underwent cardiac surgery to repair a congenital heart defect. During the surgery, the pericardium was compromised and she had lack of blood flow to her brain for 2 minutes. She now has retrograde amnesia, most likely from temporal lobes and hippocampus damage. She does not recall anything of the past 3 - 4 years. She is (was) a lawyer but does not recall going to law school or the classes. I will be seeing her after further medical procedures are done on her heart. I am not sure that the memory scripts here will apply. Any suggestions?

Hi Because of the physical damage already caused to your client Im not sure exactly to what degree hypnotherapy could help in a case such as this, however, you might be able to adapt the Stroke script in some way to show how other areas of her brain can learn to store new information.
