My Client is having terrible problems with her mother, she is in her face always judging her, telling her how she should be doing this that and the other, my client is married with three young children, however she wants her mums approval and she doesnt get it. I have used the in the garden of your life script for confidence and put an arch over her head to protect her, but tonight was a bad night and she has now gone out to get food, and she is following my slimming programme but the minute her mum starts she turns to food. any ideas??????

Hi I wonder why your client constantly needs her mothers approval? I figure this probably stems from somewhere in her childhood but whatever the reason this should be dealt with before attempting to resolve other issues, especially if they are being sabotaged by her relationship with her mother. Have you tried regressing your client or learning more about her early childhood? It could be, for example that she felt her siblings (if she has any) got more attention than she did, or it could be something much deeper than that. I think you were right to have a go at building up her confidence and perhaps she could also learn to become more independent. We have a script called Separation Anxiety which you might be able to adapt or the Increased Self Esteem script is very powerful and could be effective for your client.

My client has developed a cocaine habit (£500 or more a week) which, in turn has led to a facial tic. Hes a city worker with a stressful job and uses when with colleagues. He doesnt enjoy it any more and has developed tolerance ... so no more highs. He is a self-motivated man with lots of nervous energy who is enjoying the success but is now worrying about the consequences of his addiction. I have started with relaxation and self hypnosis (thinking of leading on to stress-coping strategies)and wondered if there is a more dynamic approach. Help please ... thank you.
