Hi everyone i am currently doing a hypnotherapy course and am in the midst of doing a case study. The case study is based on reviving someones drive and determination to get on with their art work. I originally planned to get the person to recall a time/event where they felt driven and determined and get them to reconnect with those feelings and bring them back. The problem however is that they cant remember time. My question then is should i use age regression to help them find an event or is there a better way you would suggest. Many thanks

You might try parts therapy to determine if there is some "part" of your client that is resistant to doing the art work. If your client does have a resistant part, then proceed with parts therapy to enlist the agreement of the resistant part to allow your client to pursue his/her art interest.

Hi Joe, the last post offers a very good approach if you are familiar with Parts Therapy (and I know that a lot of hypnotherapists arent). You could have a go at regressing your "case history" client just in case they are suppressig their natural desire to paint or draw. Another option would be to set up ideomotor signals so that you can communicate directly with the subconnscious mind and understand more about their resistance.
