U.S. News reports a study showing positive results using hypnosis to ease the pain of both Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and Crohns disease. I have several clients who have regained full control of their lives and their IBS, UC, Crohns with hypnosis. Enough to have created a (flexible) system to work with the symptoms on the one hand and the root-cause(s) on the other. I may put together a package or course to assist others with this work as theres a lot of people in real need of a hypnotist with IBS/Crohns skills.

I have worked with IBS patients since 1991 and more recently (2002)with Crohns patients. My practice referrals come from GPs and gastroenterologists who are aware of my work and results. My IBS Audio Program 100 is now used in 44 countries being available since 1998. I would encourage any therapist who is looking for an area of specialisation to consider Gastro work. If my work is known at all it is in this field, however I do also have a CD for Emotional Recovery after Breast Cancer which has been reviewed and accepted as a valid treatment option by over 100 English NHS hospital breast cancer teams (another area of interest for specialisation) Before this post sounds like an advert for myself, I would suggest you look at the scripts here on this site for IBS. I presently have scripts for IBS on my site, and will be posting CD scripts later in 2011. I will be pleased to help anyone interested in knowing more about IBS, whereever I can. First of all, I would like to say I am not a Doctor, and do not claim to be, nor do I practice medicine, but I work as a complementary along with Doctors. So far I have found that Ulcerative colitis (UC), responds quit well to Hypnotherapy especially when used in conjunction along with clients following their Doctors/Dietitians recommendations. In fact, just the physical, mental, and emotional relaxation brought on by Hypnosis, I believe can be quite beneficial to anyone. In the preferred state of somnambulism, healing visualizations with particular emphasis and attention to affected areas, before and after regression & revivification to capture a healthier body image w/ increased awareness bringing it to present, and projected future along with positive suggestions of returning to a more desired state of homeostasis and accelerated healing seem to help Clients have a more Optimistic & Positive Outlook in regaining their health and increasing and giving them more control over their quality of life Have a Great & Wonderful Day.
