Fear of vomiting & catching an illness

Hi, I have anew client who has a fear of people being sick and then she will be sick, there are 2 issues here that need to be controlled one being her fear of actually being sick and also the fear of catching the bug/sickness virus from anyone who is sick. This is really affecting her life as she constantly washes her hands, wont go out or be around anyone who is sick and she has 2 young children. Please advice on the angle you would take on this. Thank you in advance.

I would say suggestion will not be enough. I have worked with many cases of emetaphobia and it is the hardest phobia to resolve. You can use EFT and also suggestion work to cope when the anxiety occurs - triggers etc. Do you use hypno-analysis/regression?

Hi. I had a client with exactly the same. I asked about the first time she remember being sick, asked who was with her and what their reaction was; she responded her mother, and that she looked after her. Then under hypnosis I took her back to a time when she was first sick, who was with her etc., and then asked her adult self to come and comfort her (Its an adapted H/World script that I used), etc., and I counted her out, it was interesting as her mother was with her and she felt very scared. Over another couple of sessions I also did some NLP (collapse anchor), and Life Coaching with her. What I realised from our first session was that the issue that needed to be dealt with was the fear of comiting because the fear of catching an illness is borne out of not wanting to be sick!
