Hi there, I am qualified but for a variety of reasons I have not practiced for about eighteen months. I am now up and running again and have three new clients, two for smoking and one for weight loss so I thought i would regain my confidence by concentrating on these two popular requests. Could any of you more experienced guys help me out with the most succesful script for both...and would you agree the weight loss is a longer and more involved route that may take three or few sessions because of all the various issues surrounding eating disorders? Also anyone have a good I B S script they can reccomend so I can treat my long suffering mother in law!! Thanks so much in advance

Congratulations on taking up the reins again. Scripts..... There is very good scripts here on hypnotic world. Check them out. But I would also say to you go back to your training, you instinctively know those scripts and you should be able to deliver those with a higher degree of confidence than material you havent had a chance to practice. With regard to weight loss being a longer more involved subject .... Yes it would be, dont be tempted to make up a hypnotic band script. Like the physical band the hypnotic band should be treated as the course of last resort. It is effective if done right but I wouldnt try it myself until having had some training. Effective weight loss regimes.... Identify the triggers driving your client to the kitchen/sweetie packets. Is it boredom or something else, maybe issues from childhood. Maybe its control issues and eating is something the feel the choose to do just because they can. The one thing I will say that stays with me from my training is....... Dont talk about weight LOSS. Talk of getting lighter, shedding pounds, getting fitter or working to a slimmer trimmer fitter you. The subconscious mind has an unerring way of finding things it has lost. Teach your clients this as well, teach them when friends admire their success and ask How much weight they have lost?" to answer in a positive vane along the lines of "Well Ive shed x lbs " this will help reset the loss response from the subconscious.. After all, when you lose something your biggest desire is to replace or find that which was lost, but if you choose to dispose of something it is your choice and there is no internal panic. There are a number of irritable bowell scripts on here. Check them out. Helping IBS is all about removing stress and relaxation.. I myself had problems with IBS I have found that plent of relaxation sessions and affirmations that my digestive system is efficient and working well for me has helped me tremendously.

Thanks so much Steve for the extra bit of confidence. I had a great pre consultation yesterday with my stop smoking guy and as he was so confident iv booked him in for the hypnotherapy tomorow as he is so convinced! I have read up on all my old notes etc and looked at the scripts I was working with then and yes i think it is good to follow your instincts with matching scripts to people. Think Ill blast motherin law with some reiki as well as hypno ...it definately has a calming effect on everyone and I have it at hand...so to speak ha. Thanks again
