Fear Of Escalators

Hi, I have a client who has an extreme fear of going down escalators, however she is fine going up them. My initial thought was she has a fear of falling, however this is not the case. She can go up and down normal stairs without any problems. Does anyone have any ideas and any scripts that would help? I set up my hypnotherapy practice back in february so I am still new to this. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Does your client have any problems with her balance? If so this might offer a clue as to why she has this fear. Otherwise have you considered regression to cause, perhaps using ideomotor signals to establish where, why and when her problem began and then working through her issues.

Hi Faith, sorry never got back to you on this. Thanks for the advice. My client didnt have a balance issue. She did however decide hypnosis was not for her. She lost the motivation and decided that has she had lived with the phobia for so long she could carry on living with it.
