Bright light whilst in hypnosis

Date Aug 29th, 2011 11:14 Bright light whilst in hypnosis

I was giving my client hypnotherapy for her weight problem and she said that when she was relaxing she saw a bright white light above her that seemed to engulf her abdomen. This only happened for a few seconds, she asked me what it was, but i had no idea. Does anyone know what this could have been? Thanks

Hi It could be that she perceived a healing energy taking place on her abdomen. I would guess that your client is probably quite a spiritual person and to her the light seemed to signify the part of her body that needed attention.

Just utilise it in your script! As Faith says - a bright white light usually signifies a healing light - but if she sees it you can use it - especially to relax her and put her mind at ease.

Just came across this post. Whilst having therapy myself I have experienced the white light" and have found it to be a most spiritual uplifting experience. I dont experience it often but when I do, its WOW!

I have had white light whilst in hypnosis and it is the most wonderful, uplifting experience ever. The first time it happened I wondered what was happening but when it happened subsequently I embraced it and each time I am hypnotised, I hope the white light comes to me. Its nothing to be worried about or feared, its something very special.
